Ross Kester has been teaching engineering
technology courses at Penn State DuBois since 1973. Prior to that he
taught engineering technology courses at Williamsport Area Community
College, now Penn College.In addition to the teaching experience he has
worked in industry designing pneumatic conveying equipment, as well as
working in the consulting engineering field.
Ross has been recognized for
excellence in teaching many times. He has received the Penn State
Engineering Society Outstanding Teaching Award and the General Engineering
Department Outstanding Faculty Award from the University; as well as the
campus Educator of the Year Award, the Professor of the Year Award, and the
Penn Stater of the Quarter honor. Ross was also honored by the
Commonwealth College by being named recipient of the 2001-2002 Excellence in
Academic Advising Award.
Ross is a registered professional land surveyor
and engineer. He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing
Engineers, APMI International, and the American Society for Engineering
Education.
