What Is Tech Prep?
|
Tech Prep is short for Technology Preparation - in other words, preparation for an exciting career in technology! Tech Prep is a program of study that starts in high school - as early as the ninth grade but no later than the eleventh - and helps students make a smooth transition to postsecondary school and into the job market. Think of it as a 2 + 2 + 2 career guidance program: Students take at least two years of an accredited high school program and, upon successful completion, are guaranteed admission to the corresponding two-year associate degree program at Penn State DuBois. After earning the associate degree, students can enter the job market right away or study for an additional two years to earn a baccalaureate degree. The choice is up to them.
