What is SGA and why should I care?
Students often wonder just what exactly is SGA, and why should they care?
SGA stands for Student Government Association. Our constitution states that
our purpose is to represent the general welfare of all students at Penn
State DuBois.
How do we represent the students of PSU DuBois?
The SGA consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Corresponding
Secretary, Treasurer, Club Coordinator, 5 Upper Class Senators, and 8
First-Year Senators. These students meet regularly and discuss current
campus events, ways to better the campus, problems that arise, and much
more.
Why is it important that I know who my SGA Representatives are?
It is important to know who your SGA Representatives so you know who to turn
to with your questions, comments, complaints, and concerns. Any member of
the DuBois SGA is readily available if you just need a trustworthy person to
talk with. SGA members are always willing to listen and do whatever it takes
to clear up problems or concerns of our fellow classmates. Every comment
that a student makes is taken seriously by the SGA members.
